Today’s Work is Journal
This weeks journal entry will be about your house!! How fun, since we have all been spending a lot of time in our houses!!! You will be using the list words and any other words you know to write about your house!!
FirstWrite 3 house words and draw pictures of them.
SecondPick one room in your house and write 3 sentences about it.
ThirdWrite 3 or more *good* sentences about your house.
You can talk about what you do in that room?
Who is in that room with you?
What colors are in that room?
What you like/dislike about that room or your house?
What house items do you use a lot?
What you are doing in your house during this time while we are not in school?
Try to sound out your words and do your best!!!!!!!!!

FIRSTDraw a picture of your ten house vocabulary words and write out the words beside your drawing
SECONDPick a room in your house and draw it.
Try and draw all the house items you know in that room.
THIRDPick a room in your house and draw it.
Then write 3-5 sentences about that room. (What you like in that room. What you do in that room. Who uses that room?)

Find & count as many of the house vocabulary words as possible in your house. Write them down.
SECOND
Find & count as many of the house vocabulary words as possible in your house.
Then challenge yourself: pick one room and see how many items you can name in that one room.

Try and write them down by sounding them out. (Use the other vocabulary lists to help)
Just some work you can do around your house. It’s almost like a scavenger hunt!
Have fun with this!!! I bet you know more house vocabulary than you think!!! Try counting some of the items that you have a lot of, like spoons or towels.

FIRSTThink of a time when you felt HAPPY and draw it.
SECONDNo think of a time when you were SAD, ANGRY, HUNGRY, and draw those!
THIRDDraw 3 different feelings you have had before. Write 1 or 2 sentences about it: why did you feel that way?
If you would like some extra practice on feelings & emotions, here are some worksheets!
FIRST
Choose at least 5 different emotions and ask a family member to make the face of that emotion.
EXAMPLE: If the word is “happy”, the person would smile!
Or you can look in a mirror and think of your list words and show yourself how you look when you make that face!
SECONDDRAW their faces and write the emotion word that matches
Just a reminder that the list word link I gave you has 12 emotions. You only need to choose 10!

Let’s do some writing about FEELINGS & EMOTIONS! How are you feeling!? Choose the level the at which you want to work at. You can decide to do one…or if you can do all of them, go for it!!!
